Assalamualaikum wbt,Im Fakrullah Bin Zakaria from the Arabic Department would like to share my study journey of SCSH 1201.
Main Discussion
This time, the lesson focused on Islam's view of environmental sustainability. In general, the Islamic approach to sustainability is separated into three categories: environmental, social, and economic. One of the most noteworthy aspects is that these sustainability concepts are implemented in compliance with Islamic Sharia rules. One of the interesting aspects is that these sustainability approaches are implemented in compliance with Islamic Sharia. Islamic principles are based on ties with Allah, animals, and nature.
Personal Reflection
What really piqued my interest is that the Al-Quran contains up to 500 verses pertaining to sustainability, which means that Islam has provided mankind with instructions on how to apply sustainability. This knowledge increased my appreciation for Islam because it is a religion that enriches and encompasses human life.
Application of learning
One aspect that is strongly related to this topic is the human position as a Caliph. This issue focuses on the values associated with being a Caliph. As a result, the implementation ensures quality by considering the consequences of an activity. For example, tree felling activities must be replaced by replanting new trees to ensure the continuance of a healthy ecosystem.

Additional Self-Improvement
One of the areas where I can improve is my ability to retain focus and attentiveness in class. Furthermore, the Islam-related title motivates me to study the Al-Quran more thoroughly, with a focus on verses connected to sustainability and the use of interpretation books by renowned scholars.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the concept of Rahmatan Lil Alamin plays an important role in discussing sustainability. Therefore, as students of IIUM where the concept is the guide of the university, we should make the concept the main tool in making things happen by starting from here and expanding beyond the university when we are involved in work environment.
